Scootering

Last Saturday we were able to go on a triple date with Logan's parents and his brother and his wife! We were able to leave the kids with a friends for the morning and we were off to Dadeville with a scooter in tow. Once we arrived we unloaded the scooter we all hopped on, Logan and I both were able to ride single while everyone else rode in pairs. I have never driven so far on a scooter, I was so sore when we arrived at our destination! The plan was to ride to Bolivar for lunch, we enjoyed a yummy BBQ restaurant! after lunch we were off again! Luckily driving back to Dadeville was a lot faster and more enjoyable (and I didn't get as sore)! Since I was on my own scooter I wasn't able to take as many pictures as I would like, I did manage to snap a few!

I love that they love riding scooters as much as we do!

5 years

Logan and I were able to celebrate our 5th anniversary on May 1st! We have had a blast the last 5 years since we have been married we have moved from Arizona to Missouri, had two wonderful little boys, and enjoyed so many days of laughter, love, hardships and joy. We like many couples have had our hard days but we have also had some wonderful days! We have grown so much in five years, we are no longer just two people who fell in love and got married, we are now a couple who fell in love with each other we wanted to share that love with two little guys who now bring us so much joy. We are happy with who we are and who we have become the last five years. I love Logan more now then I ever have and am so happy I made the decision to marry him five years ago. And some wedding photos that I love!

For our anniversary we were not able to actually go out and celebrate since Logan and the boys were out on a father and sons camp out (I gave the okay for them to go on our anniversary since I knew how badly Logan wanted to take James and Boss on their first campout). We decided that we would go out to lunch the next day and enjoy some time without the boys, we decided on a scooter ride and Red Lobster. It was fun to be out just the two of us spending time together and remembering our special day in history. We were hoping to go bowling after lunch but it fell through the ally was booked. So we drove to one of my favorite kid stores and I picked out some shirts for the boys. Although it wasn't an elaborate 5th anniversary date it was special and we spent the day together which is all that matters in the end!

{Logan and I at a friends house the moment after he put that beautiful on my finger!}

On the 31st of January 2010, Logan and I were Engaged. He asked me a very special question that changed my life forever! I am so happy that I married such a wonderful man! He is the best thing that has ever happened to me! I love him dearly!

Sometimes I freak out...

So I have this thing with salmonella, okay it's a huge thing. I have to sanitize everything that comes in contact with anything that may have salmonella. I honestly turn into a mad women! I guess it is because I cannot get sick, I have James, I don't want to get him sick and Logan cannot get sick either. If just one of us were to get sick, it would be miserable for us all. And the fact that you can get sick from something that could have been prevented by just being careful. It just makes me crazy!
Tonight we had BBQ chicken for dinner and Logan was helping, actually he kinda did it all (thank goodness, he is wonderful). Well he cut up the chicken and long story short he doesn't have the concerns I have about salmonella. So I followed behind him disinfecting everything he touched. I was a bit ridiculous but I cant help it. I know I need to be patient and I really am trying it's just hard when I am so obsessed about something he is not. In the end he knew it bothered me and apologized, hopefully we will both be able to handle my craziness together.
On a happier note we were able to roast some mallows on the coals from dinner. Logan called it our date for the week. :) We brought out some chairs and roasted our mallows. We both eventually ended up on the grass, it was so nice out, the weather was perfect. James watched from the screen door, he would stare at our mallows each time we would come in for more. Our five minute date was the most perfect way to end a somewhat interesting night.

So we have a tiny grill, but it cooks what we need it to so it is perfect.

Isn't he so handsome I love his glasses, so classy.

James safe inside, away from the pesky moths and other night yuckies.

Just the other day we were asked if we had the same glasses. :) It reminded me of those elderly couples who dress like each other after being together so long. It brings me so much joy that we will grow old together.

I love Logan he keeps me in line when my silly craziness grabs ahold of me. He brings me back to what really matters, our family and our love.

He spoils me

I love my husband! He truly is the most wonderful man I know. He does so much for me and now James. I cannot believe I am married to him. For the last two nights he made me dinner! He made his two specialties Spaghetti and Cashew Chicken! I love them both! There is something about a dinner tasting so much better when someone else makes it. Since he was so sweet to make dinner I found it only fair to do the dishes each night (I normally do them, but this just gave a reason to somewhat enjoy doing them). I love Logan, he is a wonderful husband, friend and father. James and I are truly blessed to have him in our lives.

{this is my most favorite wedding picture, done by Jamelle from Cameron + Kelly Studios. I really need to get pictures done with our new addition. Any suggestions?}

Family date night

I LOVE those words! Last night (Saturday night) Logan, Little James and I had our first Family Date night. It was the first night Logan and I were able to go out on a date since mr. James was born. I chose Olive Garden, because I love their salad and soup! I have actually been craving it! Logan had some steak, his normal picking anytime we go out. And James he slept through dinner, thank goodness! Dinner was mist wonderful, it was nice to get out and enjoy time with Logan.
I an so thankful to have such a wonderful husband! He is the most perfect man I could ever ask for. After dinner we said goodbye to our best friends and neighbors the Kings. They live next door and left early this morning to Utah. They were both great people and we will miss then so much. Hopefully we can make it up to conference this year so we can visit them.

One Year

One year ago today Logan and I were married for time and all Eternity in the Mesa Arizona Temple! What an exciting day that was! I can't believe it hS already been a whole year! We have come so far from then, we are now having a baby who is due to arrive really any day now! I am so happy that Logan and I found each other. He really is the man of my dreams. I love him so much and cannot wait for the years to come!

For celebration:
Since I'm now 38 weeks pregnant, it's advised that we do not change elevations or travel too much because it may force me into labor. :/ So Logan and I could not go and visit Disneyland.... Wouldn't that be kinda of awesome if I went into labor At Disneyland?! Well we stayed in town and somewhat celebrated yesterday because this year our anniversary is on a Sunday, so we exchanged gifts Saturday and decided to enjoyed two days of Anniversary fun! Tonight we'll have dinner with our friends and drink a Bottle of Sparkling Apple Cider that I saved from our wedding. I know sounds a bit weird, but I know that cake after a year in the freezer is DISGUSTING and I did not want to even try saving the top tier of my cake. So instead I grabbed a bottle of unopened sparkling cider and saved that instead!

I am so excited that Logan and I have come this far and I honestly cannot wait to spend Eternity with him. Not to mention our little boy who we will get to meet in less then 14 days! Oh the joys of life!

The Art Walk

I've had this nifty app on my phone for a few weeks now. I mostly got it so I could update the blog regularly and it really hasn't worked the way I wish it would. So tonight I thought I would try and use it. :)

Tonight Logan and I found out that our wedding pictures had come in (we were married last May so it's a bit late, better later then not at all). I was so excited I told Logan we had to go get them when he got home, we had a quick dinner and ran downtown with our next door neighbors to the first Friday art walk! The weather was perfect, I love spring time! There were a ton of street musicians and it was awfully crowded. I guess everyone else I thought that the weather was too nice to not go out. The Art walk was fun as usual!
After returning home we immediately opened the box with the prints. I truly love looking at my wedding pictures! They remind me if what a wonderful day it was and how I am married to the most wonderful man I know for eternity! What a blessing!! I can't wait to get our prints framed and hung!

We had our Engagement and Wedding pictures done by Jamelle Kelly from Cameron and Kelly Studios, they are so wonderful! I would definitely recommend them!

Climb to Conquer Cancer

On Saturday Logan, Erik and I all climbed to Conquer Cancer. We all climbed seven miles up Snowbowl road with about 4,200 other people. This is a wonderful event! I have attended for the last four years and each climb has its memorable moments.

We all started climbing around 7 am and finished 2 hours and 6 minutes later! There was no rain this year like there was last year. It was warm and crowded and very long. After about half way up we all started feeling tired, but we all endured! About three quarters, we were starting to get a bit sweaty... so when we arrived closer to the top we felt the breeze, and it was wonderful! Arriving at the top we felt a relief we were all so happy that we could help people with Cancer. On the drive home we were so tired but so thankful for a wonderful morning we were able to help those in need.

The top of the mountain!! what a sight!

Oh Outback! how delicious you look!!

The COOL mountain breeze!!

So excited we have reached the top!!!

Waiting in line for the bus!

Friday Night Date

Last night Logan and I went to see Tyler Wilkinson speak. On Sunday in Relief Society I heard that the Cottonwood Stake was having a Youth Conference here in Flagstaff, and they had Tyler Wilkinson an Inspiration speaker ,fly in from Utah to speak to the Youth. All the Adults in the stake were also invited to go and listen if they wanted to. So I told Logan about this guy who was coming to speak, not knowing anything but he was suppose to be good.
So we went to see Tyler Wilkinson speak, he talked about his Accident and how he was injured in a car accident when he was eighteen after sign a double scholarship for Baseball and Football in college. He was left a quadriplegic. He spoke about the fun "rides" life can have and the "bumps" that can bring you down. He was very spiritual along with inspiring.
Logan knew his story sounded familiar but could remember if it was the same person he remembered watching a movie on. So after he spoke and the Fireside was released Logan went to shake his hand. While he was, he saw some young boys wanting his autograph. So when we walked to the car, we 'Google'd' Mr. Tyler Wilkinson, and we found that he was the guy Logan remembered. The movie 'Tyler, a real hero' is about Tyler of course but told more about his life before his accident and then reflected on his "new world" he was now living in.
After Dinner with my Mother , we went back to our apartment we watched the movie on You Tube. (it showed in 7 parts) It was a very good movie, it was very well told and very moving. It was a wonderful way to end the night!

Missouri Trip

Logan and I returned from our wonderful trip to Missouri on Tuesday Morning. It was just a weekend trip but way worth it! We knew since Logan was starting a new job we would have a harder time traveling back to see the family. So we decided to go when it was easier for us.
We left for Phoenix Thursday evening our flight was not until Friday, but instead of rushing to catch our plane we decided to take our time. We stayed the night at the Hotel Valley Ho, it is a wonderful property we would recommend it! The flight to Missouri was 2 hours and 15 mins, very short compared to the 18 hour drive. Upon arriving Reagan and Sterling (Logan's twin and his Cousin) picked us up at the Airport, we raced to Reagan's apartment to pick up his wife and Sterling's Fiancée. We all then went to watch Grown Ups, which is a very good movie we were all laughing.
The next morning Logan's Dad came to pick us up, he was going to drive us to the Bliss House in Dadeville. Along the way we were able to stop at the Jeweler's house,Brother Adams, had made my Engagement ring and we had ordered a band to complete my set. So we were able to watch him sauder the two bands together. We enjoyed a wonderful Breakfast with the family, for our afternoon trip we decided we would drive to the Osceola Cheese Factory. They sell more than 150m different types of cheese! Logan and I had been to a smaller cheese store so we knew our favorite was the Mild Buffalo Wing Cheddar. Both To and from Osceola we were able to stop at some Amish stores, they were very interesting, I had never been to one so I was shocked the with the items they sold and made. After returning to Dadeville we all went to the Dadeville Cafe! it is the only restaurant in Dadeville, they also make the shirt which read Dadeville Population 224.
Sunday we spent plenty of time with the Family!

The Osceola Cheese Mouse
Monday was the most exciting day we were able to go to Silver Dollar City in Branson. Its a Theme Park set in the 1800s, so they have Mining themed rides, Country themed food. It was a ton of fun! Our flight back to Arizona was in the evening so were we were able to enjoy almost a whole day with the Bliss's.

I loved Missouri it was so green, the Family was so wonderful, and it was a ton of fun, Logan and I had the best trip yet! I still don't think i will move there, but i love visiting.

Honeymoon

For our honeymoon Logan and I went to Disneyland. Our original plan was to go to Cozumel Mexico, but after figuring all the expenses we decided to stay in the states. Disneyland was wonderful!! We stayed in a Hotel that one of my Former manager manages so he hooked us up with a pretty good deal. We were in California for five days, the weather was wonderful! Our Hotel was in Buena Park so Disney was only a 15 min drive away. We also went to San Diego so Logan could see the
ocean for the first time! It was so cold! While in San Diego Logan and I Visited the San Diego Zoo, which was very fun but very big!

Our Family (mostly Logans Family) decorated our car, the whole trip we had people honking at us the whole time. :)

Neither of us have ever been to Disneyland before!

We each had his and hers Mickey ears, Mr. and Mrs. Bliss.

who we are.

Logan and I are recently married, we were married on May 1st in the Mesa Arizona Temple. We both love being married. It is a wonderful adventure! I honestly do not know what I would do with out Logan.
